Today, our stunning property features two distinctive venues: The Garden, our outdoor sanctuary with cascading waterfalls and romantic fire features nestled among lush landscapes, and The Lodge, our 7,000-square-foot indoor space featuring refined rustic architecture and modern amenities.

Every celebration at The Hops Company combines natural beauty with sophisticated charm to provide an unparalleled backdrop for weddings and special events, creating memories for a lifetime.

Story of The Hops Company

The Hops Company's story is deeply rooted in Derby's history, beginning with its origins as the landmark Grassy Hill Lodge, a beloved wedding catering facility that has served countless families since the 1940s. When the Morale family acquired the property and opened The Hops Company in 2015, they brought a fresh vision to this historic venue - quickly became the region's favorite gathering place for family and friends.

In 2018, The Hops Company embarked on an exciting new chapter with The Garden at The Hops unveiling. This expansion added a stunning event venue, featuring indoor and outdoor spaces set amongst private gardens, cascading waterfalls, and fire pits while preserving the site's distinctly rustic charm.

Most recently, we proudly introduced The Lodge at The Hops Company, a sophisticated 7,000-square-foot indoor venue that pairs modern amenities with rustic elegance.

The Hops Company has evolved into an exclusive venue dedicated to life's most cherished celebrations, hosting hundreds of weddings and events that have written new chapters in our property's rich history.

The Hops Company offers both indoor and outdoor event spaces and can accommodate parties of 50 to 500+ guests. The Garden at The Hops has both modern and rustic finishes. The Lodge at The Hops is the perfect blend of elegance and charm.
